With the Freedom Awards, the National Civil Rights Museum honors outstanding individuals for their significant contributions to civil and human rights. The Public Forum – held Oct. 22 at Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ – provided an opportunity for students, teachers and other invitees to interact with this year’s honorees: Joan Trumpauer Mullholland, Ava DuVernay and Ruby Bridges-Hall.
