The 70-year-old, trumpet-playing music legend was last seen around 9 p.m. and hasn’t been heard from since, according to his wife, Marva Williams.

“I’m devastated,” Williams told the Tri-State Defender Wednesday night. “There’s been no word at all.”

According to Williams, her husband came home from Beale Street on Saturday night, parked his car in the driveway and was last seen walking west on Winchester.

In the wake of his disappearance, Williams’ family, friends and loved-ones are doing all they can to remain positive and to keep hope alive.

Along with the Memphis Police Department, concerned citizens and friends of the Williams family are distributing fliers, with a picture of Williams, not only in the Whitehaven area, but across the city of Memphis.

Earlier in the week, the Memphis Police Department was granted approval by the Tennessee Department of Motor Vehicles to distribute a flier with Williams’ drivers license photo. MPD is also circulating the fliers citywide.
