The 11th grade students were chosen out of many applicants for their superb academic record to participate in a two-year long grant that is set in place to prepare them for future careers. The students work five hours during the week at locations such as MLGW, St. Jude and Methodist North.
“These students represent the school well and are looking forward to working full-time internships at their current locations during the summer,” said Keila Foster, AVID/GEAR UP Teacher at Raleigh Egypt HS.
The grant is an initiative through the Office of Congressman Steve Cohen.
