Chicago radio stations stop the hits

The music will stop Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a live, on-air forum across four Chicagoland radio stations –– WGCI/107.5, V103/102.7, Inspiration 1390AM and WVON/1690AM –– will take place to massage the dialogue about the city’s gun violence and offer solutions. The Rev. Jesse Jackson of Rainbow/PUSH will moderate the discussion among invited guests: Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy, Chicago Police First Deputy Al Wysinger, Andrea Zopp (President and CEO of the Chicago Urban League), Pastor Corey Brooks, Warren Ballentine (attorney and radio personality) and Tio Hardiman (CeaseFire).

Lead radio hosts are Tony Sculfield (WGCI), Ramonski Luv (V103), Sonya Blakey (1390AM) and Matt McGill (WVON).
