First Lady: Obama loves singing in the bathroom

(CNN) – It's no secret that President Barack Obama has squeaked out a couple of tunes during his presidency, but his wife says singing is a part of the President's home routine-especially in the restroom.

"He sings all the time. He's in the bathroom all the time, just singing. He's always willing to sing," Michelle Obama said.

The First Lady unveiled her husband's singing habits in an interview that aired Tuesday on BET's "106 & Park," where she mostly talked about the administration's push for more students to enroll in higher education programs.

Obama famously gave Americans a peek at his singing voice last year when he burst out in Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. He also sang along to "Sweet Home Chicago" last year at the White House for a PBS performance series in the East Room.

But when it comes to dancing, the First Lady said she has the skills in the relationship.

"He can sing. I can dance. I think that divides the talent evenly across the family tree," she said. "We're all satisfied."

Mrs. Obama was also asked about her biggest fashion regret. The First Lady said she's "kind of always happy with what I'm wearing," but noted she stopped wearing shorts in public after she took some heat for sporting a pair in 2009.

"Sometimes I forget I'm the first lady and I'm running around in shorts. I know the first time we went on a family vacation, I had shorts on getting off of Air Force One and that created a huge stink because people were like, 'She'' wearing shorts getting off of Air Force One.' And I thought, what, we're on vacation," she said.
