No. 11 Wichita State tops Memphis 71-56


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The No. 11 Wichita State Shockers pushed their regular-season win streak to a nation-leading 33 games on Tuesday, pulling away from Memphis in the second half for a 71-56 win at the Sanford Pentagon.

The Shockers (2-0), lost consensus second-team All-American Cleanthony Early to the NBA draft, but returned preseason All-American guards Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet.

Sarah Obama, who was married to the president's late grandfather, said in an interview through an interpreter on Monday that she had "a vision" sitting under her favorite mango tree in the tiny village of Kogelo in 2013 of a legacy that would continue her work helping children and live on long after she is gone.
