Every now and then we're lucky enough to get a really great feel-good show in our part of the country. Mark your calendar for Nov. 17 and plan to be at the Landers Center for the 4th Annual Pre Thanksgiving Music Fest, featuring Frankie Beverly & Maze, Chris Tucker, The Bar-Kays and Heads of State, with Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill.
Get ready to laugh as well as love a little bit. Talk about a show that's packed full of fun this one will be from beginning to end. If you were missing Chris Tucker, here's your chance to catch him before he hits the big screen again in the next installment of the "Friday" movie franchise. Glad he's back at work!
And did you know that the lead singers of New Edition had a group of their own? I can't wait to see these guys together.
Ain't it amazing how Memphis can never get enough of Frankie Beverly & Maze? Their music is timeless. No, I can't forget the Bar-Kays, who will no doubt be performing the baddest new song of 2012 – "Grown Folks." You'll want to check out the home town guys as well.
Guess who's giving away FREE tickets? Yes! "What's Happening Myron" is! Be sure to keep your ears open, I'll have details on next week!
Meanwhile, be sure to make plans to be at the Landers Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Landers Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster Outlets and Ticketmaster.com.
Here's what's happening

I've been a downtown Memphis resident for approximately a month now and despite my busy schedule, I have made it my business to get out and discover Downtown Memphis! I didn't realize that there was so much to do and see! And it only makes sense that I share all of my great findings with YOU! So each week, I plan to shine the spotlight on some of the fun things that take place in the downtown area.
